VISTA Sports at Dunraven School

A number of Dunraven students took part in VISTA School Workshops, a 6-week programme for students. As part of this programme, VISTA delivered their RESOLVE workshop for a number of our year 7 students; the focus of these sessions was to give students the necessary skills to deal appropriately with conflict and aid their transition from primary school.

About VISTA

VISTA Sports Development is a social enterprise that provides young people with high quality professional sports coaching, education and social enrichment programmes.

VISTA works with young people aged 5-25 years old via our football and social development pathways.

The programmes are designed to promote the benefits of hard work, discipline, teamwork, leadership and an awareness of opportunities within grassroots football and the wider community. We have almost 15 years multi-agency experience engaging young people in targeted youth services (e.g. Outreach/Centre based youth work, Careers information and guidance, youth offending, with specialist training and background in supporting disadvantaged groups of young people) and school support.

Our main objectives are;

  • To develop and deliver social development programmes aimed at addressing issues which affect young people.
  • To work with NEETs, Ex-offenders and young people helping them find opportunities to work in a sports, media or arts-related environments.
  • To provide young people with the opportunities to access quality education and training delivered to a high standard.
